The Gorillaz have given us a peek inside their next album Humanz (released April 28th), releasing four songs entitled “Saturnz Barz” [ft. Popcaan], “Ascension” [ft. Vince Staples], “We Got the Power” [ft. Noel Gallagher and Savages’ Jehnny Beth], and “Andromeda” [ft. D.R.A.M.]
The band The Gorillaz is the perfect combination between visual art and music. Since their inception in 1998, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett have created a unique style of alternative rock/electronica paired with animation that has pleased the ears and eyes of many. Furthermore, the music videos always tie into a storyline. It’s always interesting to see what 2D, Murdoc, Noodle, and Russ are up to.
