Gotta Get Back

Samurai Jack is BACK and better than ever.

Season 5 of Samurai Jack is on another level of rawness. The creators have purposefully crossed the line that the show tottered on between an adult show and a kids cartoon, establishing it undoubtedly as an adult show.  The presence of an evident storyline has kept me waiting eagerly every Saturday night for the new episode to drop on [adult swim].

Pink Lemonade

I used my new Posca markers to make this cute piece. The weather was so nice out all week it made me want some lemonade.

The markers are great and the range of sizes makes it easy to create bold lines and tiny details. I love how solid the colors come out. So crisp, clean, and refreshing… just like pink lemonade!

Inspo II

I want to spotlight a few artists who have recently inspired me with their work.

Darius Moreno

Darius Moreno is a freelance artist who grew up in the DMV. He works with oils and acrylics to create stunningly expressive and colorful portraits. He recently did the album cover for GoldLink’s album ‘At What Cost’, which has really been getting the spotlight from places like The Fader and Noisy. I’ve been a fan for a few years so it is great to see him getting some much-deserved attention.

New Supplies: Uni-POSCA Paint Markers

My family got me a bunch of beautiful POSCA Paint Markers for my birthday! I’m super excited to experiment with them and create something new!

Uni-POSCA paint markers are non-toxic water-based acrylic markers that can be used on all surfaces. These markers are widely known and trusted by many artists. Lots of Graffiti artists favor these paint markers, such as Oskunk.
